Who We Are
Welcome to The Zarb Store. We are a student run business that values serving the diverse Zarb Community and grants Zarb students the opportunity to flourish in their careers. Working at The Zarb Store grants the opportunity to overview the ins and outs of running a business & encourages the pursuit of a well rounded business education through observing the inner workings of finance, accounting, marketing, analytics, and management. Students are granted the opportunity to hone in on their strengths and weaknesses in the business world. The problem solving skills learned at The Zarb Store will serve as transferable skills for other classes and life. Being around students, professors and alumni allow students to gain social connections and insight needed to run a successful business. The knowledge gained from this position will help serve as the foundation for my professional career.
Our history
The Zarb Store had its Grand Opening on April 6, 2023 after months of hard work, dedication, and preparation by students Victoria Tudisco (Class of ’24), McKenna Osborne (Class of ’24), Zahra Omairat (Class of ’23), Adnan Adib (Class of ’23), Sean Mullen (Class of ’25), and Christopher Schwartz (Class of ’24), along with faculty advisor Claudia Cafarelli. After an action-packed end to the Spring 2023 semester, The Zarb Store entered its first full semester of operations in Fall 2023. The Zarb Store now employs 30+ interns at managerial, assistant managerial, and entry-level positions, providing insightful experience to students outside of the classroom. Interns look forward to sharing the rest of their journey with you in the future!

Merchandise selection features: items to display Zarb Pride, student innovations, and products and services that are socially and environmentally conscious. How can I become a team member at TZS?
The Zarb Store is more than happy when students show interest in being a TZS member. This one credit internship offers incredible opportunities for students to build their resume and learn the ins and outs of the business world. If you have interest in becoming an intern at TZS, you can either email TheZarbStore@Hofstra.edu with information about yourself or stop by C.V. Starr 215 when the doors are open to talk directly to a team member!

Yes, not only do you get invaluable work experience, but this internship will also count as course credit!
How many interns are there?
We are always looking to grow each semester, but as of Fall 2024 we have 30+ interns.
